Using Apple ID Based Site Administration

You can always log in to your iTunes U site using your Apple ID account, even if you are also using a transfer script to access your site. If your transfer script fails for some reason, you can still access your site using your Apple ID account.

To create a primary administrator and use an Apple ID account (if you did not specify a primary administrator during site activation):

1. Log in to iTunes U as an administrator.

2. Click Edit Site Settings in the Tools area.

3. Set your site’s primary administrator by typing a valid Apple ID and password in the Primary Administrator Account section.

4. Click Save.

5. Click Logout.

To log in to your site as the primary administrator, and begin using the features associated with this role (including editing and adding other administrators to your site), you must log back in to your site as the primary administrator using your site’s administrator signin URL (available from the Edit Site Settings page and in the iTunes U welcome email).

Note: You can still access your iTunes U site with a transfer script whether or not you set a primary administrator for your site.
