If your site is included within iTunes U in the iTunes Store, users can use the Tell A Friend link in the Tools area of courses to share content they discover with friends, thereby increasing the number of visitors to your site. Personal references to content from friends provides a simple way for new users to discover public content in your iTunes U site.
To send an email and share iTunes U content with friends:
Navigate to an iTunes U site within the iTunes Store.
Navigate to the Course page where you want to share content.
Click Tell A Friend in the Tools area of the Course page.
Type an email address for the friend you want to share content with and, optionally, a message about the content.
To share the content with more than one person, type multiple email addresses, separated by commas in the To Email entry field.
Click Send.
A thank you page appears.
Click Done.
The Course page appears again and iTunes U sends your friend an email with a link to the content page.
Notes:
If you sent a Tell A Friend email during your current session, iTunes U automatically populates the From and Your Email fields with the last information you entered.
iTunes U does not save any user information you enter in the Tell A Friend page.
